In an EU
competitive tendering that contained bids from 6 different companies,the
Restaurant and Kiosk Sector of the Danish Rail (DSB restauranter
& kiosker) choose a solution from Papirgarden / CASIO ECR Denmark.
The order - about $3 million - contains CASIO POS terminals, CASIO
data collectors, bar code readers and the Danish accouting and
business management system Navision Financials.
When you buy
a soft drink or some food in a DSB restaurant the cashier will
register the transaction using CASIO's QT-7000 touch screen terminal.
At the same time scanning of barcodes will be introduced in every
kiosk. In this way the time of business will be reduced considerably.
The Retail Back Office to Navision Financials will control all
sales information and send them to the Head Quarter of DSB restauranter
& kiosker located in Aarhus.
All prices (incl. special offers), bar codes and products are
being updated at the Head Quarter and then the latest information
will be send to the kiosk and restaurants.

Papirgarden
/ CASIO ECR Denmark had delivered a solution based on Retail Back
Office to Navision Financials to about 143 stations placed all
over Denmark. In addition to Navision Financials the solution
amoung other things contains CASIO POS touch screen terminals,
CASIO data collectors and bar code readers. The solution is capable
of controlling the entire sale in all restaurants and kiosks including
information about all goods.

Navision Software Denmark is delighted at the order to DSB restauranter
& kiosker. The order came less than 3 month after the Danish government's
Agency for Financial Management and Administrative Affairs (AFMAA)
has purchased Navision Financials from Navision Software, an enterprise
business solution to be used throughout the country's finacial
management and administration agencies. Now more than 500 goverment
agencies will be using Navision Financials.
